The club was started in 1986 to foster unity among MINI owners, drivers and enthusiasts while encouraging the preservation of the MINI. These British cars have been in continuous production in the United Kingdom in one of their various forms since their introduction in 1959, although they have not been imported into the USA since 1967. Ownership of a MINI is not necessary for membership; however, most of our members do own more than one. There are many MINI clubs in the US and Canada. Our members live as far apart as San Diego, CA and Neshanic, NJ. A monthly newsletter keeps our scattered members informed, while the monthly meetings provide fellowship for the local members.
