The Greater Akron Model T Club will be celebrating it's 40th Anniversary this year. Our club is dedicated to the preservation of the Model T and the rich heritage of it and the Ford Motor Company. For the last forty years, this has been accomplished in many ways. First, through the gathering of families, which may consist of three generations, that share a common interest. Second, through the restoration and maintenance of the Model T itself. We are a driving club, enjoying several tours a year throughout Ohio and other states in all types of weather. Our club meets at least once a month. We have approximately 4 indoor meetings during the winter and wet months, with an average attendance of 40 members. In January we have our annual recognition banquet and in December we have a Christmas party with Santa delivering gifts to our children and grandchildren. The other six months provide something for everyone. We average two events a month, consisting of day and overnight tours, local and national shows, club promotions, parades, county fairs, and picnics.
