The Royal Pontiac Club was the brain child of Jim Wangers, The "God Father" of the Pontiac GTO, and is the only all Pontiac drag racing club, encompassing all Pontiac models and Pontiac powered vehicles from 1926 to current. The club is dedicated to Pontiac's high performance drag racing image. Hosting a seven event club drag series throughout the summer culminating with an invitational to specific car clubs to race against the Royal Pontiacs.
