Central Mountains Region AACA

In May 1977, a group of people from Clearfield and surrounding communitites in Central PA, who were interested in antique cars, got together at Menard Dodge in Clearfield and chartered Central Mountains Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America. The region is open to anyone who is interested in antique or classic cars and trucks. Ownership of an antique or classic vehicle is not required for membership. Central Mountains Region Antique and Custom Auto Show will be held in the Driving Park at Clearfield in central Pa., Sunday, August 24, 2003. Antique and classic cars and trucks; street rods; motorcycles; and modified cars, trucks and vans may be shown; subject to restrictions as to late manufacture. Registration, admission and parking are all free. Vehicles will be parked in classes. Club members' cars will not be judged, and are ineligible to win trophies. Live entertainment on the stage will be provided. An indoor and outdoor flea market is planned, and a variety of food vendors are expected. Owners of the first 150 vehicles will receive dash plaques. The club has monthly meetings on the third Thursday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Conference Room of Grice Clearfield Community Museum, an antique car and game trophy museum. The club puts on an antique and custom auto show every year, in late August and usually has two picnics yearly, and a Christmas Dinner. There are usually 2 tours yearly, in which members drive their antique cars to sites of common interest.
