Corvette Club of America/ NCCC

"The World's first Corvette Club was founded in the summer of 1956 with approximately 25 charter members." The founders, John Ralph and Charles Eyre, organized the first club meeting on July 17, 1956. The founding principle of the club was to encourage ownership and enjoyment of corvettes, and exchange ideas, information, and technical data relative to Corvettes and Corvette Owners. In the months that followed, the Corvette Club of America (CCA) took its first steps toward becoming a national organization, laying the ground work for the National Council of Corvette Clubs (NCCC). The NCCC group now includes more than 12,000 members throughout the United States. Early meetings and activities revolved around area Chevrolet dealerships who were helpful in providing support to the club over the years. This tradition continues with the "Corvette Club of America" and Criswell Automotive. In its 44th year as the world's oldest Corvette Club, members Corvettes range from 1954 Roadsters to ZR-I's to C-5, with most being between. Car condition may be "basket case" project car to a top notch show car. However, one thing remains unchanged -- the membership, male and female, young and old, all share a common interest -- the Corvette.
