We're a group of old and new friends, husbands, wives, and for some of us, even our kids who love cars. The cars we like cover a wide spectrum and go all the way from the 30’s thru the 90’s. We never had or needed a club because most of us had known each other for years and we would see each other on Saturday night at a couple of local cruses. Over 7 years ago, one of our member’s families wanted to help raise money for a local charity and that’s how our annual car show got started. Fortunately, and with the help of modern technology, each year the show got larger and larger and more of us were needed to help with the show. As we asked more companies for donations, we found that they were asking for the name of the car club that was helping put the show on. Since most of us grew up in Nonantum, which is a village in Newton, MA and because the interests in cars were so wide and varied, the name just seemed to fit, hence our name "The Nonantum Auto Club". That way anyone with an interest in any type of vehicle would be able to become a part of us.
